On August 10th, first responders from the FDNY, NYPD, and Suffolk County Sheriff office hosted a lacrosse clinic at Bayport-Blue Point High School. The training event was free of charge and open to boys and girls from grades three through eight. Despite the blaring August sun dozens of youth players came down to learn from some of New York’s bravest and boldest. Team members from NYPD Women’s Lacrosse, SCPD Lacrosse, FDNY Lacrosse, and Suffolk’s Boldest Lacrosse ran scrimmages and individual drills with the youth players for two hours. The opportunity to play amongst heroes was made possible by the office of New York State Assemblyman Jarett Gandolfo in collaboration with BBP Youth Lacrosse.
