Little Angels Center founder Laura Rogacki was honored at HIA-LI’s 28th annual business achievement awards on Tuesday September 20 for excellence in Long Island business. Among twenty recipients divided along four categories, Little Angels Center was recognized as a Large Business Finalist this year.
Little Angels Center opened in 1998, and currently operates five therapy centers, a special education preschool and traumatic brain injury facility across Suffolk and Nassau County including their Blue Point location, where they specialize in adult and pediatric speech, physical, and occupational therapy. Laura and her team have helped thousands of children over the twenty-four years she’s been in Blue Point. She has also received the ACE Award from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, for her dedication and commitment to continuing education coursework.
In addition to the outstanding work she does with Little Angels Center, Laura is also a longtime Director of the Bayport-Blue Point Chamber of Commerce, sits on the Town of Islip’s Economic Development Commission, Long Island Community Hospital Community Council and serves as an Islip School District Board of Education Trustee.
In 2011, Laura founded Mommy’s Angels Adoption Support Group, a 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides support for hopeful adoptive couples along their adoption journey. Laura shares two beautiful children with her husband Scott Jackson.
