Once a Phantom, Always a Phantom: Reflections of a Student Photographer

By Mikaela Carroll

As the scoreboard ticked down to 0:00 on Saturday, My time as a student photographer for the Phantoms had also come to a close. Luckily, I got to end it in the best way possible… watching the BBP Girls Lacrosse Team win their first ever Long Island Championship to complete their perfect season 17-0.

I am so blessed and grateful for this community and everyone’s endless praise and support over the past 3 years. While these past 2 months have been quite hectic with games every day, I will definitely miss staying up late editing, uploading to websites and links, and posting on Instagram every day to get all my photos out there. I know I will miss standing on the sidelines, cheering and yelling for all of you… but I can’t wait to do the same at Clemson next year.

Winnie the Pooh said it best : “How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard?”

Once a phantom, always a phantom.

It’s been one heck of a ride.
